What do I need to study for my permit test?

I'm taking my permit test in a few days. What are the things I need to study specifically and where can I find those resources. California by the way.
 
I failed my permit test 2 times. My friends were like "Oh, it's just common sense! You don't need the handbook!" and so I went by what they told me...twice. I failed majorly both times. The questions are completly different from questions you find on quizzes online. It took me about an house to read over the handbook and highlight important things. Just skim through it. That's what I did and I passed my 3rd time with a 20/20. =) Good luck!
 
Go to your local DMV and they have
a free small packet of information
that will be on the test. (:
 
Pick up a Driver's Ed Manual at your local RMV - Registry of Motor Vehicles -.
Everything you need to know is in the manual.
They usually ask you about statistics, such as seatbelt safety, alcohol stuff, and violations.
