my 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo takes about 4-5 seconds to start after i have turned the key in the ignition. Im just wondering what i need to replace to get it to start normally in a short amount of time. the starter?

A 1994 (age: 14) car that needs to cranks about 4-5 seconds before it starts, has a starter motor that needs servicing/replacement. The carbon brushes could be worn, the commutator ring could be out of roundness, the copper conductors could be loosen at the commutator ring

take the jeep out of it lol. doubt very seriously that its the starter like everyone else its probably due to clogged fuel filter or dirty injector or mabe the fuel is going bad but usually they just go bad with no warning

engine is fired by vaporising the fuel and igniting it... it is possible that the fuel injectors or other parts of the fuel system are dirty.. or that the ignition system such as spark plugs or or wires or coils, or distributor is not funcioning correctly. usually in cold temperature it take longer to start.. because the fuel takes more time to evaporate.. also use better fuel... more octanen rating makes the engine go longer... even though it doesnt seem that way... why do you think racing engine use 114+ octane fuel.. because it produces less predetonation...
