...dies after heating up. ? Okay so I have a 89 Jeep Cherokee Laredo. Its 4.0 6 cyl. I was driving to work about a week ago when I notice as I pressed on the gas it felt like it wasnt wanting to accelerate. Then it died. It cooled down and ran about a mile then did it again.
I got a new alternator and battery and fuel filter and it seems to run further now. About 4 or 5 miles. My dad drove it and now its ideling high and or real low and then dies, but it then starts right up. Then when he got it home and started it again it wont start cause it needs to cool down. SO!! Im trying to find out what to replace. I dont have all the money in the world and this is my only form of transportation cause there isnt a bus near by and I dont get paid again for another week.... So basically Im saying I dont wanna just keep buying parts that wont fix it. I understand it could be a number of things but I need everyones help to give me ideas on what I could replace to fix the issue. Thank you!
