You don't need any particular subjects in your undergraduate degree to get into law school, however classes involving logic and writing are generally considered useful. Also, people with master's degrees in subjects such as science and engineering are often in demand to do intellectual property, health law, and other such work.

You will also need to complete the LSAT.

To get into Yale, you'll need a straight A average from a top school, a LSAT mark in at least the 98th percentile, plus excellent references and extracurricular involvement.

After you complete law school you will then need to pass the Bar Exams. If you want to work in Canada, etc, then you will also need to "article" at a law firm for a year after completing the above.

1. You need a BA or BS from an accredited school, preferably not a party school, but a top-tier college or university, with good grades - cum laude or summa cum laude.

2. You need to show a history of involvement with the community, both the college/university community and the community the school is located in.

3. Yale Law School prefers children of graduates. If neither parent attended Yale, you will need more effort and work in 1 and 2. Don't worry too much about the LSAT, unless you blow it completely. Yale may not even require it any longer.

4. Have lots of money. Yale Law School is not cheap, nor is living in New Haven.

Study anything that involves research (reading), analysis, and writing. Law schools do not require any particular undergraduate major.
