What do I need it I want to move to America to go to University from England?

I am about to do my A levels in England but want to move to america (USA) after i have finished them to go to university there. What are the requirements of an american university? Do I need anything other than GCSE's and A levels or are they enough? If so what do i need? I have no idea about what I should do or if there is anything else i need to do before I do choose to study in the USA. Please help! Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much :)
 
Your A levels will be acceptable to US universities. Some may also want you to take the US's SAT exam, which is their uni entrance exam. You'll need to check the web pages for each uni that interests you to find out exactly what they'll need from you.

You can take the SAT in the UK.

You'll need a student visa when the time comes, but the uni can give you guidance on that.

You can apply to US unis from the UK. You'd move here with the student visa, as a university student.

There is no centralized uni application process, like UCAS, in the US. Instead, you go directly to each uni's website and complete their application forms.
