What do I need for a Car Stereo System?

Im want to go buy a Car Stereo system, I don't want booming bass but decent bass (dont want my car shaking and vibrating, and hearing my car from 200ft away..).. And Id like Nice Loud Sound from the speakers.

If someone could make a list of things I'd need to buy like from Futureshop/Bestbuy..And not a big price tag to it.. I don't need to notch stuff i hear ppl say you can get a decent car stereo system for 500$ that could sound better then a 1-2Grand sound system ..

Im into music like Bullet for my valentine and Alexisonfire etc.. So i don't need lots of bass just enough to sound good thnks for all ur answers
 
okay you can go get some pioneer (dont get sony)at Walmart for around80-100 per pair
You will need a car amplifier for your door speakers and amp kit
types of amplifier they sell pionner at walmart for around100 you don't need that many watts around 800 ... its a 4 channel amplifier
If you already have stereo headunit than good if not they run from 80 and up id reccomend one around 120.. You can find all this at bestbuy as well or if you are willing to wait which is even better

You would have to get installed of course but this would sound really clean and much louder with just enough bass. from then your car is already wired for another amp all you would need is a splitter for another power and you can upgrade whenever you want to subwoffers
Your question is very general and 500 isn't alot to work with but yes you can have a 1000 dollar sound for 500 if you don't go to stereo shop(they rip people off )
 
Buy a better car stereo system. Take the old one out and install the new one. Bose are high quality speakers and good. The only thing you won't need are subwoofers since you don't want your car to vibrate and shake.
