What do I do with this cricket?

I found a cricket in my garage and I was going to catch him and bring him outside. But when I caught him I accidentally ripped one of his legs off AND sat him on fire. It was an accident and I'm not getting into details.

So should I take him outside like I'd originally planned, or do something else with him?
