What do I do when my new neighbor's car is parked on my property?

My new neighbors are renting the house next to mine and they frequently park their car where it is on my property. There is a friend's car that is parked long-termed on my property in between the neighbor's house and ours, so maybe they assumed that they can park behind that car as well. However they never got permission to park on my property and my friend did.

The property line surrounds my house so it is not like their car is parked on the grass however I still think it is not right for their cars to be on my property. Secondly they park where a portion of the car encroaches on the sidewalk so my disabled aunt has to wheel into the street and then back onto the sidewalk to get to the other side.

There is an empty space for street parking in front of their house, so I don't understand why they didn't just park their car there.

Since they are new to the neighborhood I don't want to approach them about this since that would be awkward to discuss on a first meeting. FYI they moved in one week ago.

I checked with code compliance and since their car is encroaching the sidewalk aka public right of way, they can be cited for that however their car only parks there at night so I don't know if code compliance will come out after work hours. My last resort is to call the police or a tow truck however, I think that would be my LAST option.

I have considered talking to them about this, however I have no idea how to approach them in a friendly way and yet tell them about this problem. Should I just call the landlord and have him take care of it? Please help.
FYI my property line is an actual line. The surveyors cut a physical boundary line that separates my property from the property next door.
FYI the code compliance in my city has a website and municipal codes are clearly stated
