what do i do if my bike rims are fading; does it effect biking?

i have a 26'' wheel size mongoose efx dual suspension bike with black rims and linear pull brakes

fading color you mean? it doesnt effect biking as long as its just the color fading. if its rusting then get new wheelset. if not then dont worry about it.
