I'm a proud new owner of a Palm TX.. unfortunately I've been having problems with the charge.. It will only charge on the USB and not the AC Adapter and Best Buy is allowing me to switch the unit for a new one today.. ALTHOUGH I DONT WANT to since I've already set it up the way I want it...

If I get a new Palm today, what do I do when I hotsync it to my laptop? Is there some setting I need to change?

Sorry I'm new at this... It's been a while since I've had a pda (Sony Clie NR) ... and I've forgotten the ins and outs... :p
 
In your HotSync app you can set all the Conduits so that the computer overwrites the Palm.

An even better way is to download and use a backup programs such as BackupMan and backup your entire TX to an SD card. Then you use the same program to Restore the card onto the new TX.
