What do I do if I got a ticket for a stop sign violation but my court date is...

...after I leave for college? I live in San Diego, and I'm attending college in Chicago. I won't be back until our winter break in December. I called the court office this morning and he said that they don't process tickets for 4-5 weeks, which is when I leave. Is there any way that I don't have to go to court but I can just pay the fine and attend traffic school?
 
If you have a ticket you have a court date, and/or a way top pay the fine without going to court.

Don't show up for court and their will be a Bench Warrant for your arrest.

Pay the ticket!
