What do I do about my taxes with a new car?

I just bought my first brand new car last year and this is the first time I'm filing taxes on my own where I can't be claimed as a dependent (I let my parents claim me so it would help them out, hell that still pay for a lot of my stuff (cell phone, insurance, medical bills, some living expenses before I was fully employed), but I live separately now with my grandmother). So do I do the itemized tax thing or should I get someone to help me like H&R Block or can I do it myself with their little program? If I bought their software would I have to buy it again next year? It's 20 bucks, so I can do that.

Would it matter if I'm considered my grandmother's caregiver? What would make me her caregiver anyway? I live with her and I do things she can't do (like take out the trash, keep the house clean, run errands and take her to appointments) and in exchange I don't pay rent and we share grocery costs. Would that matter for taxes?

Sorry it's long, I have a lot of questions! I'm in VA and I'm 24.
