you think they would date Blacks? There is obviously a big disconnect between Africans and Blacks in my opinion. People may say were are the same, but we are not. We speak different languages, live in different cultural environments and we do look different. We do share one important factor and that's where we come from! I would love to see more Africans and Blacks in relationships together, i think it cute. Even though we are different we sprang from the same place and i think its important. so tell me what you think African look for and would they even date a Black?

True there is a big disconnection between the new African immigrants and those who were in America for generations. With few exceptions, both cultures does not seem to see the other as their next kin. In terms of dating, it really depends on the indivitual. You will find some intermarriage between African Americans and African immigrants. Obviously, it is normal each society tends to socialize and intermarry within their social sphere. After some generations, though, I am sure they won't be as distant sine society will see them like one and new immigrants will become African American.

It depends on the individual. Many prefer to maintain our cultures so the majority marry within their tribe. However, there are others who are more concerned about having a deep connection, no matter the person's tribe, ethnicity, or race. I have cousins who would have married people outside of the Horn as long as they were Muslim and had a connection. I know of 2 families where one parent is not from the Horn but still black (the father) and the mothers are Somali. So I believe it depends on the individual.
