Well, the snails in my garden eat my lettuce first, then my cabbage, then various other veggies. Underground black slugs will burrow into potatoes.
They seem to prefer home-grown stuff. It puzzles me why they don`t eat the weeds! Maybe they are too bitter.
They will also clean out the cat food dish of catfood, so maybe they eat certain other dead creatures too.
Not sure how to tell the sexes? But I think I remember reading they are Hermaphrodites - ie, dual-sexual and will copulate for up to 6 hrs. You can check and verify this out on the web.
