A sweeping change in health care reform in America. Read the great opinion piece linked below by and co-authored by John Kerry, Billy Beane (Oakland A's baseball manager), and Newt Gingrich for a fascinating look at next steps for health care...

I'm still drinking my coffee . . . I'll read it later . . . thanks for the link.

My Dad's a cardiologist (my husband was a doctor and went into banking because you can't make money being a doctor . . . that's for another question) . . . And you would not believe the amount of money that's spent on Federal and State level mandates . . . Medicine has become an inefficient, over regulated night mare . . .

And p.s. Medicine accounts for approximately 20% of our GDP . . . I'm constantly amazed how many people bitch about the safety issues associated with unregulated medicine but never offer the economic safety issues associated with over regulated medicine . . .

Any adjunct economist will tell you that we could lower our health care bill by almost 23% by eliminating paper records in favor of digital . . .

Seems you've answered your own question. I was gonna guess something to do with making easy money...
