what direction the bolt that hold the crank puller on a ford 2.3 engines

1995 ford ranger? This what I;m asking do the bolt on the crank shaft puller loose to the right or left on a 2.3 ford engines in a ford ranger 1995
I try to bump the engines but this did not work I try lock the crank down but this did not work try air mpact wrench 1/2" p.s.i at 150 did not work .the puller is damages but bolt is not damages .

I did this a couple years ago.

Put your socket on the bolt, put a short extension on, put a long breaker bar on it and lay it on the passenger side frame.

Bump key and your bolt will be loose. Don't hold the key on until it starts, just bump it once.
