What difference does it make that Genesis is "history" and Revelations is "prophecy"?

NEW TESTAMONT: chapter 61 verse 6 says: "and remember jesus the son of mary said 'o chilren of israel!i am the messenger of ALLAH(sent)to you confirming the law(which came) befor me and giving glad tidings of a messenger to come after me,whose name sall be ahmed(another name in arabic for muhammad)"

Isn't the Book of Revelations supposed to be a history of things to come? Why should it be written as symbolism then? Why doesn't God come right out and say in plain language, this will happen exactly on this exact date and so on?

Also, in what way does the Book of Genesis read like a history book? It is written with all the usual poetic devices: poetic meter, poetic repetition, imagery, etc.

cuz GOD LIKES IT TO BE FAScinating which it is....WHEN PPL ARE CURIOUS they will dig deeper by praying etc. Nobody would care if He said when. Ppl procrastinate you know that..

Evil was in God's creation, starting with Adam and Eve. This sin hurts their intimate relationship with God.
Genesis tells about the restoration plan. God starts with one man who trusts him completely, Abraham. God promises to produce from Abraham a race of descendants who will be devoted to the Lord...a chosen people who will teach the world the value of choosing obedience to God over disobedience.
The rest of the bible tells of God working to rebuild his relationship with humanity.
Revelations tells when God defeats sin with his final battle with satan and all the forces of evil. Then...people who love God will live with him forever...without sin....God's perfect creation will once again take place. This time with finality.
Now God has told thru all of the bible to trust me, follow me, here are the punishments, here are the guidelines, here are my rules. God is saying....love me as I love you...without condition, with full trust. It's up to us in God's eyes to follow. If he gave a date, would you wait til the last second to say...I trust you? God knows this. He has already experienced this with Adam and Eve. Therefore, we work hard everyday to earn God's love and trust

Mat 13:10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
Mat 13:11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

Mat 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

Mat 13:14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

Mar 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all are done in parables:
Mar 4:12 That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and sins should be forgiven them.

Mat 13:15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed;
