Lakers for a 3-Peat?

Here is what I learned:
- Pau Gasol is most likely the best big man in the league, and a potential MVP candidate.
- A healthy Yao Ming makes the Rockets a championship contender. The Lakers played well tonight, and the Rockets nearly beat them. Yao looked a little rusty, but showed glimpses of his former All-Star self. They looked dangerous.
- The Lakers had a great offseason. Blake is a significant upgrade over Farmar. Resigning Brown looks like a terrific move. Matt Barnes also played well.
