What did people at home do in WW2?

Yh they did that... rationing cos our ships were being sunk by the German's total seas warfare policy... posters designed to be patriotic to recruit men into the army... later conscription was introduced so it made it compulsory for those 16-35 to join up... women worked in the muntions and did factory work, took over men's traditional roles so it liberated them quite a lot... they were especially important i dunno about WW2 but in WW1 in the 1916 munitions crisis
