What did Jesus mean when He said "Don't judge lest you be judged" ?

Jesus obviously wants us to use common sense. We all make judgements everyday. We see a business investment and after evaluation determine it would be a bad company to invest in, and we value money, we judged the company. We see that the expiration date on a food item is 3 months expired, we value our health and the food we eat, we make a judgement not to consume it. We dated several people, some even accepted us as we were, but we assessed that they were not a good fit for our lives, we valued our relationship standards and made a judgment. We say no to one job and yes to another, we made an employment judgment. We make judgements everyday. Why is it when it comes to our relationships with one another, when someone we love makes a decision for their lives, asks our opinion, and in love advise them of the danger of their decision, they respond to you "Don't judge me." YOu and I weren't judging, we were merely providing our honest God-given wisdom assessment of their situtation.
