What did he mean by this?? It's kinda long - sorry for ranting!?

My family was hosting a dinner party, tons of ppl came and it was like really crowded. There was this family that we're very good friends with and they have a son who's like 6-7 years older than me & he's always been sort of a big brother 2 me i know he's not THAT old but i'm like in high school so it seems like a huge difference right now. Anyway there was also this girl who's about the same age as he is but he didn't pay any attention 2 her & chatted w/ me all night. Than everybody left & it was kinda just us & his family. Everybody had drank a lot of champaigne but I hadn't & he was like "Why didn't you grab a drink we could be drinking buddies" & I was like "Nobody offered me a glass!" & he was like "Well I don't like drinking on land, we need 2 get on a boat, you & me, & drink against the sea" & I was like "OK!" Than his dad said "Yeah that'd be good. You guys don't hang out much these days." & he was like "Yeah I noticed that too when ur bored just give me a call, & I'll take u clubbin'" he offered 2 take me 2 that really expensive place that just opened & turned 2 my dad & went "You'll let me take her out, right?" And my mom was like "Sure as long as ur with her why not she already looks as old as u r anyway" and he said "Yeah everybody would assume she was my gf if i took her out, i can't imagine the rumors. But I'm fine with that, if anybody asks, I'm so telling them she's my gf, i mean she's hot" but he said it jokingly - or so I think. My dad seemed pretty pissed. He was like "No! Don't take her out!" Than he laughed nervously & patted my dad on the shoulder & said "C'mon, she's like my sister" & he hugged me & kissed me on both cheeks as he said it. But he DID seem pretty nervous like he had meant the gf stuff. I don't know what 2 make of it, what did he mean by this??
 
If you're sure he was nervous when he talked to your dad he probably does want to date you. Usually guys who think of a girl as a sis wouldnt say things like 'oh shes hot'. However, don't read too much into it. He might just think you're a cool person and doesnt want to ruin his chances at hanging out with you if your dad doesnt approve...
 
err... he sounds weird. All I can say is listen to your dad.

There is something very strange about him wanting to take you out when you are significantly younger. He may be a failure with girls his age. The age thing seems a bit innappropriate and illegal since your still in your teens.

You should always trust your parents and ask them for advice.
