What did Abraham Lincoln mean by this quote?

Being two faced means that someone has accused him of saying/doing one thing one time and the opposite at a different time. He's making a pun. If he were "two-faced," he would look better (meaning he's not handsome with the face his has).
 
he was rather unattractive...so he was saying....if he were two faced (like unable to be trusted)..would I have picked THIS face?
