Hi, I'm a high school student. I'm biracial, half Chinese and half Caucasian. I've always been confused about who I am, but I am starting to realize that I am both of my cultures. However, I am wondering, what makes someone a certain culture? How do people exemplify their culture -- clothes, food, religion, etc.?
I am guessing people will say that all of these things exemplify culture -- but could someone say that since they're wearing clothes from their culture, they are being more cultural? Or if you don't wear the clothes of your culture, you are being less cultural?
My idea is that a person's ideologies define his/her culture. Although I don't wear the clothes/eat the food/look like any one culture, I have beliefs that stem directly from my cultures, like my work ethic, ideas on liberty, etc.
