the first lady? wow! our country is in such trouble and the first lady rents THIRTY ROOMS in spain's swankiest and most expensive hotel? i know, the rent for the rooms was a personal and not tax-payer expense, however, the trip itself, from all the bodyguards around her as she got into a bullet-proof limo and all the time she was away, as well as the gas to fly the jet, was at our expense.
why does she think she has the right to spend our money on her jaunts? who cares if her daughter would take some very special and expensive dance and play sessions? they really NEEDED 30 rooms for this??? aren't there good enough lessons included in the private school program that her daughters are enrolled in? why does her daughter have to travel all the way to spain to get these lessons?
i think such conduct and bad taste are a glaring sign of the lack of care that she gives to us, the american public. it reminds me of what she said to a group of women (caucasian) that are paid about the minimum wage before obama became president. michelle obama, with all her advanced educational sheepskins, told them that they did not need further eduction, but they should be pleased with their lot in life and just go on working in their little, demeaning, jobs!
and for what valid reason did mrs. obama want to meet king juan carlos and his wife in spain? since when has spain been a great ally to the united states?
and, worst of all (because our people are out of work at an actual level of far higher than 10% and having their houses foreclosed on them, therefore, no extravagance should be any model for us at this time), is that it seems to me that her attitude is like that of marie antoinette, who said, when france was starving, "let them eat cake!"
what inspirational deeds has michelle obama accomplished, to date, to give us some reason to find her a true merit to our country and a woman to be honored and remembered?
do you remember when prince charles basically used princess diana to give him an heir and how all that time, he was cheating on her and neglecting her as his wife, but in all her sadness and distress, she was a beaming light to so many people in our world?
if you believe that michelle obama is a shining example of a first lady, go ahead and show me why you think that.
