You've seen the question before, but I'm going to updated it now.
I think the best decade of movie making will have to be the 1920's, because it is an art of its own. Silent movies were and will always be revolutionary. The lost but not forgotten films, will always
be remembered on screen for its charm, allure, imagination, and cinema magic. Silents are a beauty, but it is magical when seen in a dark room or theater, and a orchestra or a piano is playing in the background. It is romantic and full of great child like wonders. I also love silents made before the 20's.
Favorite silents:
Flesh and the Devil
It
The Sheik, and The Son of the Sheik.
The Four Horseman of Apocalypse
The Kid, and all of Chaplin films
The Big Parade
Greed
Intolerance
Passion of Joan of Arc
The General, and all of Buster Keaton's
Nosferatu
The Plastic Age
Exist Smiling
Little Annie Rooney
list goes on.....
