Whats a current event that is barely being talked about?
My teacher said I could use the following current events but I want one thats not on the list, any suggestions?
Health Care Reform, the U.S. and Iraq, the U.S. and Iran, the U.S. and Afghanistan, Israel, Palestine & the U.S. role; new policies/decisions of the new Obama administration; immigration reform, civil rights (reproductive choice/rights for women; marriage equality for gays/lesbians/Proposition 8, proposed repeal of ban on gays in the military, the Employment Non-Discrimination Act & other gay rights issues; prison reform, racism in criminal sentencing); global warming or any of many environmental issues; media issues such as corporate control of the media or censorship in the media; U.S. foreign policy in some other country which interests you; violations of civil liberties under the U.S.A. Patriot Act & other “national security” measures) -- there are many other issues you could choose!
