i live in the uk. ive just finished high school and will be going to college this year.I would really want to be manga artist. but since that seems almost impossible i would like to look into comic book making or maybe some sort of career to do with japanese art. what would be the best course to take in college in BTECs for this?
i was also considering doing multi media so i could go into animation but im not sure. would this take me more to the computer side than the art? i need to be more career wise because in the long run you need money to live. and living in the uk is becoming expensive apparently.
hope i made sense!

it depends on the college you take if they do have a japaneese culture most colleges don't have this type of culture

I would take a course in video gaming, kamikaze piloting, Giant Lizard/Dragon Hunting training, Kung-fu, illegal nude teen animation, hieroglyphics, space organization, and maybe some Yoga and oh yeah.... Take some Japanese that might be helpful.

I believe you should take a course in economics and one on international business and business communication. And take other courses related to your field. Soething related to world art, art history etc.
The three business courses will really help you, i know this because i am in business. It will open your mind. You will understand the business which is hidden bhind the art industry. And you might want to take e-commerce in case you might want to sell you art pieces online. This will increase your sales because you can attract customers from all over the world. And this will also provide you with more opportunities. For example if an art gallery worker sees your website and they really like it, they will contact you. And the best part is that that art gallery can be anywhere in the world.
