What could be wrong with this bike?

this is a 2000 PW80 that ran well last year then suddenly stopped. it appears to have compression, carb seems to be working well but the exhaust seems to be a little off on the header, only covering about 2/3 of it for some reason. when you bump start it, it sounds like it wants to start but wont. maybe the spark?

and is this worth $125?
i am actuallly buying this from a friend, i have ridden it before, but while riding one day it just stopped (i was there at the time)
 
To check the spark remove the plug and by some means [you'll need to be clever here] hold it against the cylinder head to ground it [no hands please]. Observe the plug for spark while trying to start. Exhaust has slotted mounting flange. Loosen the 2 bolts, tap into place and re tighten. Sounds like you are evaluating this bike for purchase. Walk away from anyone who claims "it was running when I put it away" as a matter of course. You will be buying unpleasant surprises.
