I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am 2.4 Twin Cam. 125,000 miles.
Im having a MISFIRE problem. It starts up fine but misfires and back fires.
Ive changed the fuel filter, Spark plugs, Spark plug boots, Coil Packs, Coil pack housing, Ign Module, Cam sensor, Crank sensor and still running without a change.
Today I unplugged fuel injector #1 and started the car, it started up but then shut off right away, Did the same with injector #2 and the car stayed running with same misfire without shutting off, Went to #3 and started the car and it shut off right way and then when I unplugged #4 the car stayed running like before.
I then just unplugged injector #2 and #4 and then started the car and it stayed running with out a change. Could this mean I need to replace injector #2 and #4?
Thanks for any help.
