What could a white bump in the throat be with burning?

I've been sick for about 10 days and I've felt really flu-ey. I don't have too many cold symptoms. I have a weird burning feeling in my right ear and throat. It feels like the burning you might feel after sipping a strong achohol.

I've had a coming and going low grade fever, my nose burns when I breath through it and I have a pimple looking bump in the right side of my throat.

I've been on Keflex for 9 days but it's not helping. (I had a refill on an old one and picked it up to see if it would help.) I have an appointment tomorrow but was just wondering if anyone knew what this might be.

Keep in mind that all antibiotics are not created equal... Keflex is good but it's really better for skin infections. You may need a different one if this is strep (which it sounds like it could be). Have them do a throat culture and prescribe you something that is more appropriate, and you might be back to normal in a few days.
