What contributions has Islam given the world in recent history?

I'm not talking about ancient times, I mean like within the past 100 or so years. What has Islam or any Islamic country done in the way of major contributions to the world?
Can someone answer the question and not deflect it?

The West has given cars, plains, trains, internet, advances in medicine, space travel.....
Recent history please.

There are Muslim engineers, Muslim scientists, Muslim doctors, Muslim historians, Muslim architects, Muslim mathematicians...

There have been a lot of hard-working Muslims throughout history, and there are hard-working Muslims today too. It's the same for Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists, etc, etc.
