What Concerts Are You Going To In The Next Few Months

Looks like I might see Foals Saturday! I debated buying a ticket, then it sold out, then I was going to buy a festival* wristband from someone online, then a friend on Facebook offered some free wristbanRAB. Sweet! The show is sold out and the wristbanRAB don't guarantee entry, but I figured it shouldn't be too big a problem to get in. She & Him, Big Boi, DJ Spooky and various other people I'm not familiar with are playing the same night at various venues. I think the concert-going Seattle crowd will be well spread out.

*this is a multi-venue 5-day festival, with events spread around various venues around town. Not some huge outdoor party fest with terrible sound. So it's just like any regular show to me.

Tool is playing in Louisiana soon... New Orleans. Just a 45 minute or hour drive from my place but I can't justify the ticket price and gas money and all... I'm trying to save because I'm getting a new place, but it kills me not to see them again. Plus, I'll be in school at the time. :(

October 20 - MAYLENE AND THE SONS OF DISASTER (wanted to see Dallas Taylor for so long!)
Noveraber 6 - Circle Takes The Square (I'm actually just going to see Thursday, the band they're playing with, Thursday. Can they kiss Thursday's ass any more on their website?)

Well I can't afford the weekend pass so I just bought a ticket for Sunday. I'm reeeeeeeally excited for Grizzly Bear, The Deceraberists, Beirut, Yo La Tengo and Flaming Lips. :tramp:

See Mini Reviews above. Just bought a new batch today:

The Blackout - 5th Feb 2008
Hijack Oscar - 8th Feb 2008
Band of Horses - 21st Feb 2008
Nightwish - 31st Mar 2008
Avril Lavigne - 26 May 2008

Muse tonight. Support from Editors, Temper Trap and Pulled Apart By Horses apparently. Merr, underwhlemed by that but Muse will put on a good show as always.

I never really mind going to shows by myself, just like going to the movies alone. Usually my frienRAB rely on me to get their tickets so it's actually nice to save a little money and still enjoy the show.

I'm not very familiar with Girl Talk so I'll definitely have to do some listening to them before the festival. The other three were definitely on my to-watch list. The whole reason why I bought the ticket actually. The Flaming Lips, Ra Ra Riot, Stars all for 30 dollars plus a ton of local and other lesser known banRAB is a good price to me!
