Maybe.

I saw the hard lessons, ok go and motion city soundtrack together yesterday. The first two were really great, funny and just nice music. But motion city soundtrack suuuucked. I actually thought that people might be too hard on them. But the pessismists were right, arrogant, low-talented mediocre f*ckers!

Just saw Tegan and Sara last night which was amazing. They're so cute and funny and put on a great show.

Coming up:
Tomorrow: Olympic Torch celebration with a sweet local dance/pop band called Chris Hansen & The Autistics and a ukelele cover band called The Be Arthurs.
Jan 20th: Julie Doiron & Attack in Black
Feb 13th: Rural Alberta Advantage & The Wooden Sky
March 29th: Muse & Silversun Pickups

They're not even headlining, it's crazy.

And to shandapanda, i love festivals, there's a great atmosphere and you get lots of free stuff.

pretty amazing show but not 100% perfect. a few technical issues delayed the start by a few minutes. there were also issues with the keyboard solo, either the performer forgot his wah pedal on and in the treble position, or the soundman was asleep at the wheel. it was the kind of treble with far too much mid that just hurt to hear. the bass solo during Apostrophe was relatively weak compared to the rest of the set as well, a couple of bum notes and then the guy starts to almost take off in a more melodic direction - which actually got crowd reaction - then went back to just playing lots of notes really fast :(

Daddy, Daddy, Daddy was the only tune that felt out of place in the set also, not really sure why it was there.

also not sure why there was a hollowbody electric on stage too, no one ever picked it up.

personally i was really hoping for City of Tiny Lights and they delivered. Inca RoaRAB was epic, The Little House I Used to Live In was huge as well. overall it was a phenomenal show, anyone who liked Frank's music should definitely check out Dweezil and his crew if they have the chance.
