I was watching a show on mounted police the other night and they have a movement where they train their horses to step sideways into the crowd to move them on. I've always been impressed with police horses (they'd have to be a special horse to handle what they do) but does anyone know how they train them to do this and what the correct command would be... I'm guessing some dressage movents/commands would be similar (I'm not educated in dressage) but I'm all keen to start teaching my guy this sidestep and would appreciate some tips. I'm going to post this in the police section as well in hope that a horse riding coppa might give me some help!
