What comedian does a joke about video games and how real they've become?

a few years back i saw this one comedian that had made a joke about how real video games have become, like the effects and graphics. He also made a joke about the "you had to be there" kind of stories.

he gave an example kind of like "oh dude, me and john were at the bar right? and he stabbed a guy!", the friend:"no way? john did that?", him:"you should have been there". i don't know it something similar to that.

and well, i can't remember his name at all. D:
