What colors are best to wear to an Army Ball?

I will be attending my first Army ball with my boyfriend in a couple of weeks and want to look absolutely stunning for him (He just got back from Iraq about 2 months ago). He will be wearing his Class As and wanted some opinions as to whether or not I could wear a green dress as well. I don't know exactly how dark his uniform is (I've never seen Class As in person). Since I will be flying out there for the ball, I really need to select the dress before I leave home. Can any military spouses/girlfriends help me out? I have posted a picture of the green dress I'd like to wear as well as another option. My 3rd option (not pictured) is a dress similar to the green one, just in navy blue. One quick thing....I'm not looking to match his uniform by any means...just want to look great.
 
Class As are a darker green than this. It's a lovely dress though, so you'd look stunning anyway. :) But if you really want to match, I think it might actually look better to compliment his green with your navy blue instead of trying to be the same color and not quite making it. Congratulations on having your man home again.
 
Most women wear more formal dresses to these balls, like prom dresses etc. I think both dresses are beautiful, but maybe not appropriate for an Army Ball, especially if it's one for returning from Iraq. Also, matching class A's might prove to be really tough, plus you would probably look way better in a color other than the ucky green color of his class A's.
