what color would look best for a photo shot against a white wall?

Something that compliments you (both your style and you physically) and isn't distracting. You'll want to take into consideration what you want the photo to say, and choose your color accordingly.
 
I am doing my own photos to submit to a talent agency. I was wondering what shirt I should wear (it is head and shoulders and above for this shot). Thanks.
 
I think navy blue would look good. It's not as severe as black, but it gives enough contrast to emphasize your face as the focal point. Good luck!
