My living room and dining room are connected to each other and open to each other with a vaulted ceiling (white) with knotty pine beams. My living room has whte walls, an ivory leather sectional, and I'm going to put pine flooring in - everything will be very light (whites, ivory, tan) and I'll change the accents depending on the season. Should I leave my dining room walls white or should I paint them a completely different color? I was going to go with a lt brownish-gray but I'm thinking the white will contrast with the beams better and tie in to the living room better. Any ideas?
