What color to paint my nail?

so tomorow is semi formal (14 years old) and I'm gonna use either gold or silver to make designs. But what should be my main color?? My dress is black with blue polka dots. purple?? idk. thanks for the help!!
the blue is dark blue so i don't want anything too dark but I guess If I have a silver bracelet on or something it would look fine.
I'm doing it by myself so nothing soo hard

i go with blue ( the same blue as the one on your dress or with sheer white with coating
