What color should I paint my room?

Maybe taupe or gray with a splash of color in pillows, blanket throw, curtains, etc. Check out some paint swatches to make sure what shade you'd like. You could do a wall as a focal wall, like a medium to dark blue with a taupe or gray. Sounds sleek and something that you'd enjoy on a long time basis. You could even have a little print. I'm redoing my room and i have a black and whitte bed spread from target (xhilersation) and white book shelves/cabintes/nightstand ect. I dont know what color to paint my room. I wouldnt want a yellow, orange, pink or green room. I was thinking maybe 2 walls a darkershade of blue and 2 lighter shade. or 2 darker purple and 2 light purple... but im not in love with either of the ideas.. i like brigther colors and its ok if its not all one color. if yo uhave any edeas please let me know! thanks!
 
hi, blue may look a bit lost with the black-but purple will look fantastic.
even red would look hot or silvery grey. but what ever colour you choose you can tie it together by adding some cushions of the same colour. there are some great cushions available-even metalic sequin ones.
