What color should I paint my bedroom?

My room is rather big, have a couple of black and white pictures (of artistic nude female) up on the wall. The bed have black and white blankets. Also there's a black and dark reddish wood color furniture in my room.

I'm planning on buying and and put up a pulp fiction movie poster and "Kiss" by Tanya Chalkin and a few other works.

What would be best color to bring out all those pictures? There will be one or two color picture or poster up as well.

I'm thinking about gray, gray/blue, or even light blue. I really don't want nor like red, so red is out. Any suggest or advice?

Black will bring out pratically anything except black.

I would say purple. Like a dramatic purple, not too bright but not dark/gothy purple.
