What color should I paint my bedroom?

I recently purchased a new black and white (flower pattern) bedspread and have coupled that with teal sheets. I am not afraid of color but need something that will complement everything. It cannot be a dark color as I live in an apartment. My bedroom furniture is a light/pale wood.

Yellow was my first thought but it does not look good against the wood furniture.

Any thoughts?
 
Maybe a lighter version of your sheets? (a lot lighter)
Or Light green?

If you paint the walls one color, that can be the dominant one, and then find at least 2 or 3 other things that are the color of your sheets (vases, pic frames, books) and that can be the accent color.
 
depending on how deep blue ur bed spread is u should either stick to that colour or go lighter on the walls or even go opposite on the colour wheel
