what color paint would go with a red carpet?

I would like to paint my bedroom which has wall to wall dark red carpet. the room size is about 12x13. It has one window so not a lot of light. I'm not ready to change the carpet yet because of cost.

Paint everything bright, pure white. That will give you the most light.

youo need something light as you have little sunlight. A varity of cool beiges are out there.
Whites in varying shades also is an option.
