What color paint for a bedroom?

My teenage son is away at college and I want to paint his room to get rid of all the holes, marks, etc. What is a good color for a bedroom with a navy blue carpet and blue shade?
 
Just about any color you'd like. Use the navy as a neutral. Try taupe with red accents. Don't forget the curtains/drapes, maybe a gold or a medium yellow. Keep it simple and just a few colors here and there. Have fun and enjoy!! Roxanne
 
use a very light color of sky blue. so light that when you look in the bucket, it might not even look blue. but the carpet and shades , when you are finished, will pull the blue out so that it looks much darker than you will believe. i use to paint Professionally. this works. good luck!
 
Maybe a beigh, pale yellow color or a sea foam green.
those would look nice and simple with the navy carpet.
These would probably be the most mature color.
