What color motorcycle jacket should I get? Beginner bike suggestions?

I just got my motorcycle license and I have a matte black helmet. I'm not sure what color bike I will be getting yet, but what is a good color jacket that will go with pretty much any color bike? Also, any suggestions for a good beginner's bike?

I got a black jacket thinking it would be good since it would go with any bike. Now that I've been riding, I wish I had gotten something more visible. I now wear a reflective vest over the jacket any time it's dark.

Try finding something in a silver or grey, as that is neutral and will stand out, but not be tacky like yellow or neon. Or you can try to guess what color bike you want and go for something that goes with that. I don't think anybody REALLY cares if the jacket matches the bike, so just find a jacket you like that fits you well, preferably one with armored shoulders, elbow, and back. A nice jacket will cost $300 or more, but it is well worth it that first time you hit pavement and walk away from it without a scratch.

For a beginner bike, try to find something 600cc or less (but don't go below 500cc, or you'll quickly outgrow it). Make sure that it fits you really well or even be on the short side. You want to be able to easily flat-foot while standing on the bike, preferably way out to the sides. As you're learning, you'll find that when stopped and at low speed starts and turns the balance won't be there, yet, and you'll have to stick your foot out to stay up. If the bike is too tall or heavy, you'll drop it.

As soon as you get the bike, buy some frame sliders or crash guards. That way you won't feel so badly the first time you drop it.

Too vague of a question.

Usually people match there bike and jacket in color.

What type of bike are you looking to get?

Cruiser, dirt, sport, chopper?
