What clothes would be "appropriate"?

I am a 13 year old girl going to Scotland in two weeks. I'm only staying for 10 days but my parents and I are fighting about my clothes. They say I need to wear classy clothes and that I cant wear anything with a scoop neck, low-cut dresses, etc. i think it would be fine, after all, the last person to go to Scotland was my grandmother and that was about 50 years ago. . .times have changed. Can anyone tell me what would be considered "appropriate" everyday clothes? I don't want to be dressed like an old lady. Thanks!

one of my close friends life in Fort William Scotland. They dress the same as in every other country for the most part. They still have preps and the skater like people. Dress a little nicer because you are visiting. But as long as your clothes aren't "trashy" you will be fine.

You can get away with anything in Scotland that you wear at home. You see plenty of girls in low cut tops and short skirts.

But be prepared for cool weather and rain - summer in Scotland can be quite chilly and cloudy. You just never know - you might have 5 gorgeous warm days, then 5 cold rainy days. I was in Edinburgh last year in August and was so cold that I had to buy warm clothes once I got there. It was cold and rainy the entire time. The temperature never rose above about 12C/54F

jeans are always a good way to go also go online and check the weather because that can have a huge effect on your outfit. good luck
