What classes does someone take in college that gives them the best chance to become

an astronaut? I know there are many different ways to becoming an astronaut and which ever path you take its almost impossible to actually achieve but what gives a person the best chance to become an astronaut. What majors should i take in college. I know i would need to get a pilot's license but i don't want to become a military pilot that would have to kill people. What is the best college to go to become an astronaut. This kind of tough one but what IQ would i need to be smart enough to become an astronaut (like a range Ex. 120-150 not sure if those are anywhere close or what Im not familiar with IQ ranking). All additional information would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking about taking Russian in a couple years when i go to college to give NASA another reason to pick me. I play 3 sports (soccer, basketball, and distant track) all for my school and I'm physically fit.
 
It's tough competition to become an astronaut. You need a science degree. Here's a link for NASA's requirements. Contact them for more specific information on how to be a good candidate, there really are lots of people who want to be astronauts. Also, the direction the space program is heading is towards unmanned missions entirely--the space shuttle is going to be decommissioned soon. Good luck!
