What cheap Rally car would be fun to drive and fix in America?

What would be a cheap rally car?
- cheap parts
- fun to handle
- easy to work on
-available parts/junk yard

Any older cars that are Like this(maybe a list of rally cars)

I am thinking about a Ford focus ZX3 or ZX5

I know about Subaru, Mitsbishi , but i figure a ford focus is much cheaper/American
