What.cd disabled me for no reason

Hello, I've been banned as well. I did nothing wrong and would like to give the mod the information he requested, but I've also been banned from the IRC channel. It involves my son, who had an account that was disabled. (He later was reinstated with a new account.) I opened Firefox instead of my normal Chrome browser. It automatically popped up my son's old user name up, but I didn't notice and entered my password. When I saw it was the wrong name, I entered my user name and discovered I was disabled. I had an exchange with a mod on the what.cd-disabled room that did not go well. After I talked to my son I tried to go back but discovered that I was also banned from the channel. All I want to do is explain what I now understand happened. Both my son and my self are good What.cd citizens but now we're both banned and have no way to explain. I'm happy to sacrifice my account so my son can keep his. If someone knows a What.CD admin, please pass this on to them!
 
If it were upto me,I'd probably re-enable him.This guy is funny as fuck lol(went to buy chocolate? :lol: )
And probably coz he might be innocent and say that he wasn't,he aint acting like somebody who would repeat the same mistake again.Lesson learnt and things move on.

Yes.... Under what grounds is that even nearly a legitimate reason to list as stacking evidence.
I know it may have been confusing when I referred to an assumption created by what.cd Staff members, as I would be inclined to agree that they do assume alot.

I will disregard all your ignorant comments pertaining to me as you seem to know nothing, and arguing would lead no where.
 
What I've never understood about the whole "My brother/sister/dad/mother/dog did it" excuse is... why don't you just use one account for the family? Saves the trouble of maintaining ratios on multiple accounts, don't have to worry about the mods scrutinizing you more carefully for having a shared IP address, etc.

The whole "I randomly opened a browser I don't use, didn't notice this and went to What's address, didn't notice that a banned username was in the username box rather than my own, etc." excuse doesn't sound that plausible... plus when you say "reinstated", what does that mean? Generally if they reinstate you they give you your old account back. If he got a new account without asking the staff, then had the IP that was linked to both of your accounts linked to the old banned account, there probably isn't much you can do. They have a 1 account/user/lifetime rule, and they also stipulate that if you share IPs with someone else, you risk being banned if anyone on that IP gets banned.
 
Thank you all for your support, i don't think you can ban people for having dynamic ip's it's just too much of a gable if one gets a blacklisted ip he is done for...

They didn't ban you for having a dynamic ip. They will probably try saying you got kicked for ratio watch, trading, or cheating.
 
hmm... imo you seem to be a good member at what (seeing your screenshots).

i/we don't know the "whole" background of the story but it seems that you have broken one of their "golden" rules [like others before (no teasing intended)].

your best bet will be to wait for whatman's or sickofjesus reply.

Since I don't have all the facts I will refrain from passing judgment on anyone here but I have a little bit of experience when it comes to people attempting to pass a lie off as the truth and I have to agree with WhatMan on this one all , all the denied similarities happening purely at random stretches the limit of plausibility .
Under similar circumstances here my first thought would actually have been that both accounts are the same person and the onus would be on the OP to prove otherwise.
 
i think i covered this already, no one used this account but me,
i can't take finger prints from my laptop but i can assure you no one else got access to this account, it's mine, my laptop for home use, only i use it, same mail from the beginning, ports and all of that



i broke no rule,
i'll continue to printscreen with mspaint until any doubt is gone
my utorrent is running, running and running i hope uploading too :P

if i wasn't right will i'll do this for no reason? i have no brother also i work in another town...

Yes he does. Without even being in the conversation that was painful for me to read. I think I would have booted him right after he lied about the emule client. And then to have the balls to come back into the chan thinking he can get a second chance because he thinks he's not a "regular member" simply because he's a member at some site. Sheesh...

Ok, I'll tell you right now if you go on their irc they will not help you with your issue, because quite frankly it sounds shady. (even if it is true)
And if whatman or one of his minions come here they will abuse you for posting such an excuse.

In the end... join waffles and only use 1 account per household.

they took my invites last year, never they said who of my invitees what they done...

can't punish me twice let alone by disable (they took the invites once) how will i bring others? anyway i don't invite no one it's safer i think, and no much posts even here on FST, no trading stars nothing like that :))
so no trading can be invoked

usually those who invited me on some trackers got disabled, but i'm there taking the test of time
and i wasn't disabled even if my inviter got disabled or something

66Gb upload /29Gb download.. in 2 years... seeding for months; ratio 2+ i think... it's not much... but i tried to build a buffer by seeding lucky i found some free torrents that helped a bit, maybe someone will grab what i have... thou seedboxes kill anything
i hope someone can reenable this hard worked account...

A mod should check if they are dupe accounts on here.
 
Most probably you might have been banned for being at a tree, somewhere downstream from an invite seller. It has happened somewhat often lately.
