What causes your car to loose paint?

My car is flaking off paint. in some areas it has white spots where it looks like its flaking off. You can't see it's flaking off but every time I look at it the white spot gets bigger.

Does anyone know why that is or what i can do to stop it?
...Does anyone even know what im talking about? haha
 
Paint is molecularly "alive" under it's finish. That's what gives it it's wet look, because to some extent chemically it still is. When paint dies (10-15 years usually depending on quality), it loses it's appearance. The best way to protect any car is to wax it. I wax my vehicles every 3 months with "Black Magic Liquid wax". Your white spots is your clearcoat dying off. Wax will slow it down, but only a good paint place can fix it.
